This seven building MID water treatment plant was clad in Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) that was improperly installed and it severely suffered from the deterioration and cracking. Alpha Restoration & Waterproofing was hired to perform this project which involved EIFS repairs throughout the complex. Some of the EIFS trim work had to be redone and reshaped to enable better water shedding and to prevent swallows from nesting. Additionally, expansion joints were added to prevent future cracking. All seven buildings received a new non-cementitious acrylic base coat, a new textured finish coat and elastomeric paint. New TPO membranes were installed on all of the flat roofs and sloped roofs were replaced with new metal standing seam systems. This was a very successful project and the client was extremely happy with the outcome.
